What is Freemasonry?+

Freemasonry is a non-political, non-religious fraternal and charitable organisation. Members come together for friendship, personal development and service to others, with traditions and ceremonies that encourage reflection.

Who can enquire about joining?+

The Lodge of Mercy welcomes enquiries from men over 18 from all backgrounds. The lodge can explain the membership requirements, expectations and next steps in a personal conversation.

What commitment is involved?+

The lodge holds four regular meetings a year. There may also be opportunities for learning and social activities. Before joining, speak to the lodge about attendance, subscriptions and any other costs.

Can I visit as a Freemason?+

Visiting brethren should contact the lodge before attending. The secretary can confirm the meeting details and any arrangements required for your visit.
